She really shows you how hilarious, annoying and embarrassing it would be to have Mrs. Bennet as a mom. She's so funny; I love her in this movie haha :D Brenda Blethyn, like most characters in the 2005 movie, did what she could with what she had. She had potential, but just didn't have enough screentime or lines to have much of an effect in the inaccurate and crammed movie. :/ Allison Steadman. 1995 BBC.
