can anyone really top Allison Steadman’s performance?!?!? Does anyone really have a doubt that she epitomize Mrs. Bennett? I surely don’t! <3

  2. Emma says:

Alex Kingston had to be the most over the top Mrs. Bennet that I have ever seen, but Brenda Blethyn was my favorite.

  3. Mrs. Bennett is one of the most awesomely annoying characters of all time. I thought the actresses in the 95 and 05 versions ere both great.

  4. Chloe says:

Brenda Blethyn is really my favorite Mrs. bennet of all times!!! She really captures the character perfectly. Just look at her expressions, simply amazing!

  5. P&P says:

    Allison Steadman. 1995 BBC.
She captures Mrs. Bennet’s personality so perfectly! Her voice, facial expressions, dramaticness, everything ! She really shows you how hilarious, annoying and embarrassing it would be to have Mrs. Bennet as a mom. She’s so funny; I love her in this movie haha :D
Brenda Blethyn, like most characters in the 2005 movie, did what she could with what she had. She had potential, but just didn’t have enough screentime or lines to have much of an effect in the inaccurate and crammed movie. :/
